FAQ

1. How far away can the signer be from where their signature is written?

There is no limit to the distance between the signer and the document being signed as long as there is sufficient broadband Internet connectivity between the two locations.

2. How much does it cost?

For pricing, please contact ours Sales department at 416.365.6600 or email info@longpen.com. LongPen™ is a great way to cut down on business travel, saving both time and money, and is a cost-effective alternative to traditional publicity tours.

3. Is a signature produced by LongPen™ legally valid?

Yes.

4. How is LongPen™ different from an AutoPen?

Autopen is an invention that duplicates a signature exactly and prints it out any number of times. LongPen™ does not duplicate or store signatures - it writes exactly what was written on the LongPen Writing Tablet™, and can only be sent once. Every LongPen™ signature is unique, just as in a traditional signing environment.

5. How does LongPen™ help the environment?

LongPen™ makes it possible for people to forego travel while still signing memorabilia or legal documents anywhere in the world without actually being there. Travel is a major source of CO2 emissions, which contribute to global warming and harm the delicate balance of the world ecosystem.

6. Who has used LongPen™ to date?

Please see our Pioneers page for a list of celebrity clients who have used LongPen™. For a list of corporate clients who have used LongPen™, please contact LongPen™ at sales@untochit.com

7. Is this the end of the publicity tour?

With LongPen™ it becomes possible to send any number of arts professionals to places they'd never be sent physically because of the expense. For many, it's not a choice between the celebrity-in-the-flesh and the remote signing. It will be a choice between the remote signing and nothing. At present, tours can generally only get to the biggest cities and can only feature the best-known celebrities. Increasing fuel costs and travel are making things even more difficult.

8. How does the video conferencing aspect work?

LongPen™ has interactive video and audio, as well as the ability to sign, make eye contact and have a real time conversation. See how it works here.

9. Is LongPen™ difficult to use or operate?

LongPen™ is easy to operate. Training for users is provided by Unotchit in the form of manuals, as well as telephone support. Unotchit technicians monitor all celebrity events from an off-site location.

10. How can I find out about investing in Unotchit/LongPen™?

11. What is the difference between LongPen Kiosk™ and LongPen BusinessWriter™?

LongPen BusinessWriter™ is designed to work in the corporate or government environment. LongPen Kiosk™ is built with the retail environment in mind - the multiple screens are ideal for presentations to large groups and offer opportunities for in-store advertising when events are not taking place.
